The current generation of Cadillac’s flagship SUV has been around for about a year and it looks like the company has already prepared some interesting novelties. While the 2022 model came with just a couple of tweaks, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade is about to come with a new version on the offer, called the Escalade-V. This will be a high-performance version of the SUV, which will come with a more powerful engine and several more upgrades.
On the other hand, the standard model will continue in the same way. We are about to see a familiar layout, which has a lot of great things to offer. Besides capable engine options, this SUV also comes with a very luxurious cabin, which is also extremely spacious and full of features. A few novelties on the list of features are always possible, but we expect that most of the things are about to remain the same.
We believe that the 2023 Cadillac Escalade will hit the market sometime in the second half of 2022.
2023 Cadillac Escalade Design
As we’ve just mentioned, the biggest novelty for the next year will be the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V. The test mule of this high-performance version still wears camouflage, which clearly indicates a lot of exclusive styling details. Of course, we count on a more aggressive appearance, with new bumpers, grille, wheels, exhaust tips etc.
Furthermore, we expect to see a couple of mechanical upgrades as well, such as sports suspensions, bigger brakes and similar things. On the other hand, we believe that the standard model will carry on without more important changes. We are about to see a familiar layout, with the same styling and mechanics. This model rides on a familiar T1 platform and comes standard with air suspension, which ensures a smooth and comfortable ride.
Interior
On the inside, we don’t expect to see any significant changes, not even in the performance version. The overall layout is about to remain the same, including the dashboard design, which looks really amazing. It combines a stylish dashboard with quality materials, as well as with lots of tech features, including three screens that surround the driver’s area.
The 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V might come with a couple of exclusive features but we definitely won’t see changes in terms of the overall layout. All versions will continue to offer tremendous amounts of space, both for the passengers and for the cargo. Of course, three rows are standard and each row accommodates adults with ease. You can also opt for the second-row captain’s chairs, which reduce seating capacity to seven.
The cargo area is incredible. You may count on about 25.5 cubic feet of space behind the third row, 72.9 cubic feet with the third-row seats folded down, and 121 cubic feet of the total cargo volume. That’s class-leading capacity, by a pretty large margin.
Features
Bigger changes aren’t expected in this aspect. Base models will come standard with goodies like a 16.9-inch touch screen, a 7.2-inch digital control panel, a 14.2-inch digital gauge cluster, a 19-speaker AKG Studio stereo, HD Radio, satellite radio, USB ports, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hot spot, wireless device charging, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, tri-zone climate control, remote start etc. Higher trim levels will offer a lot of upgrades, such as a panoramic sunroof, a center console refrigerator, a 36-speaker AKG Studio Reference stereo, and a rear-seat entertainment system with two 12.6-inch touch screens. We presume that the new 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V will come fully loaded.
The same thing goes for safety features. All models, should come standard with forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, parking sensors, surround-view camera etc.
2023 Cadillac Escalade Engines
When it comes to the powertrain, standard models will continue in the same way. Therefore, the base engine will be a well-known 6.2-liter V8, which puts out around 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Also, there is a diesel version, equipped with a 3.0-liter turbo inline-six, which puts out around 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Both engines come in pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
When it comes to the high-performance 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V, we presume it will use the famous LT4 version of the 6.2-liter engine. This unit already powers models like Chevy Camaro ZL1 and Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, and puts out 650 and 668 horsepower, respectively. We expect similar output in this version as well, while the engine will certainly come in pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
2023 Cadillac Escalade Release Date and Price
We expect that the 2023 Cadillac Escalade will hit the market sometime in the second half of 2022, with a starting price of around 78.000 dollars. When it comes to the Escalade-V pricing, details are yet to come. Key competitors will be models like Lincoln Navigator, Mercedes-Benz GLS, BMW X7 etc.
