2023 Buick Enclave Preview, Specs, Price, Colors, Avenir, Changes

Designed to fill the gap between mainstream and premium models, this crossover represents Buick in the segment of mid-size SUVs. The current generation has been around for a while but after the recent refresh, we are pretty sure that the company won’t rush with a complete redesign. The next year’s mode, the 2023 Buick Enclave, will certainly come without more important changes. We are about to see the same design, with all the novelties that were introduced with the 2022 facelift.

You may count on familiar design characteristics, which still offer a lot of good things. We like Enclave’s elegant styling, along with the capable V6 engine and pretty smooth ride. Furthermore, the cabin is spacious and comfortable, while the cargo area is generous as well. On the other hand, the main complaints go to the subpar interior quality, as well as to the lack of athleticism.

As there are no significant changes to come, we believe that the 2023 Buick Enclave will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year.

2023 Buick Enclave Design

As we already mentioned, the Enclave was updated last year. That refresh brought a lot of novelties, starting from the new styling, which includes new front and rear ends. We saw new headlights, new bumpers and many more, so there is no doubt that the 2023 Buick Enclave will carry on in the same way. Still, we won’t exclude the possibility to see some minor changes, such as new color options and similar things.

The mechanical aspect of the vehicle definitely won’t change. This SUV rides on a familiar C1 platform, the same one as Chevy Traverse. The suspension setup is on the soft side and ensures a smooth and comfortable ride. However, the lack of athleticism comes as a kind of trade-off.

Interior

Even though we can complain about some things on the inside, this cabin still has a lot of good things to offer. This particularly refers to the amount of space. With nearly 121 inches in wheelbase, it’s quite obvious that the amount of legroom is generous in all three rows. Even the third row accommodates adults pretty easily. Furthermore, the cargo area is also pretty generous. You may count on about 23.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind its third row, 57.7 cubic feet with the third row folded, and 97.4 cubic feet with the second and third rows folded. Those are some pretty impressive numbers for the class.

2023 Buick Enclave Interior

Generally, the cabin looks nice. However, if we consider the Enclave’s price, it turns out that things aren’t all that impressive. The materials could be better and we have a feeling that some notably cheaper rivals, such as Hyundai Palisade and Mazda CX-9, feature nicer interiors.

Features

We don’t believe that the 2023 Buick Enclave could bring bigger changes in this aspect. Most things should remain the same as in the current model, which comes standard with goodies like tri-zone climate control, keyless entry, remote start, an 8-inch touch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless device charging, HD Radio, satellite radio, a six-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, six USB ports, and a Wi-Fi hot spot. Additionally, you can get goodies like a panoramic roof, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, navigation, and a 10-speaker stereo.

We expect the same thing in terms of safety and driver-assistance features. So, base models should come standard with goodies like a rearview camera, parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams etc. Additionally, you can get goodies like a surround-view camera, head-up display, adaptive cruise control, rearview mirror camera etc.

2023 Buick Enclave Engine

The 2023 Buick Enclave will continue with a single powertrain option on the offer. Of course, we are talking about the familiar 3.6-liter V6, which puts out around 310 horsepower. The engine comes paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, which does a pretty decent job. The whole system feels smooth and refined, while driving dynamics are also pretty solid. This large crossover needs around 7.5 seconds to hit 60 mph.

2023 Buick Enclave

When it comes to fuel economy, you may count on about 18 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, which is typical for the segment. Of course, models with all-wheel drive are slightly thirstier and ratings drop by 1 mpg.

When properly equipped, the Enclave can tow up to 5.000 pounds.

2023 Buick Enclave Release Date and Price

We expect to see the 2023 Buick Enclave sometime in the last quarter of the year, with a starting price of around 43.000 dollars. Models like Nissan Pathfinder and VW Atlas could be some of the key competitors.
