Of course, we are talking about the RAM 1500, which could easily come with some notable novelties for the next year, despite that the current generation has been around for a very short period. At this point, the exact details are still unavailable, but some sources suggest even some styling changes. Furthermore, we might see some revisions in terms of trim levels and standard equipment. On the other side, the engine lineup, as well as the interior, will probably remain untouched. The 2022 RAM 1500 may get a couple of novelties. In higher trims, you can also get goodies like 8.4-inch or 12.0-inch touchscreens, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, additional USB ports, wireless device charging, satellite radio, HD Radio, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, two 115-volt household-style power outlets, dual-zone automatic climate control, remote start etc.
When it comes to safety, there are things like forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic high-beam headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a surround-view parking camera system, front and rear parking sensors. However, pretty much all of them are optional.
2022 RAM 1500 Engines
The engine lineup will certainly remain the same. Therefore, base models will carry on with a 3.6-liter V6, which puts out around 305 horsepower. There is also a well-known 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with around 395 horsepower, which is also available with a mild-hybrid eTorque system. A diesel version comes with a 3.0-liter V6 engine and 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. Finally, there is the new Rebel TRX model, equipped with a monstrous 6.2-liter V8 that puts out around 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.
All engines come in pair with 8-speed automatic transmission.
2022 RAM 1500 Release Date and Price
Despite the potential novelties, we expect to see 2022 RAM 1500 sometime in the last quarter of 2021. When it comes to the price, base models should go around 34.000 dollars. Of course, key competitors are models like Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado 1500, Toyota Tundra etc.
